Police have named the man who shot and killed two people and wounded seven others at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday before ending his own life.

Chad Williams, 24, carried out the attack with a rifle around 2 p.m. and later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said at a news conference on Sunday.

What Happened at the Scene

Williams started shooting outside the restaurant and moved into the parking lot. Police described the scene as chaotic. An off-duty officer and a civilian shot back. Authorities say those actions helped push him away from the restaurant and kept the number of casualties from going higher.

Video from a nearby car showed the gunman walking through the parking lot and firing at a blue Tesla. One of the people killed worked at the In-N-Out, according to the company’s president. Of the seven people who were wounded, two have already left the hospital, three are stable, and two are still in critical condition.

Williams acted alone. His family has been working with investigators, and police say they still do not know why he did it.

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested in Miami over the weekend. The brothers, who hold dual U.S. and British citizenship, were taken into custody by U.S. Marshals acting on a request from British authorities.

The Charges Involved

British prosecutors have added new charges against both men. Andrew now faces additional counts of rape, sex trafficking, and possession of indecent images of a child. Tristan faces new rape and trafficking-related charges. In total, the brothers are facing dozens of charges connected to several alleged victims.

The Tate brothers have been living in Romania since 2016. They’re actually under investigation over there for pretty much the same allegations. In early 2025, they were allowed to leave the country and flew straight to Florida. Actually, they arrived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on February 27, 2025, after Romanian authorities lifted their travel restrictions.

The UK had ongoing interest for years, but the combination of new allegations plus the brothers being in the US (outside Romania’s restrictions) enabled the specific arrest that culminated in July 2026.

How Extradition Between the US and UK Usually Plays Out

The whole thing is based on a long-standing extradition treaty between the UK and the US. It usually kicks off when the UK sends a formal request through official diplomatic channels. American authorities then track the person down and arrest them.

Two uniformed Bronx police officers are now the subject of an internal investigation after a photo emerged showing them making hand signs linked to one of New York City’s most dangerous gangs.

The incident has sparked strong criticism and raised fresh concerns about standards within the department.

Viral Photo Shows Clear Gang Signals

The undated picture, apparently taken inside a McDonald’s, shows two masked officers posing alongside a young man. One officer is clearly making the signature hand sign of the Mac Baller Brims, a violent subset of the Bloods, by crossing his middle finger over his ring finger. The second officer also appears to throw up a gang sign.

The image quickly spread online and triggered an official NYPD probe.

Officers Immediately Placed on Modified Duty

Both officers have been stripped of their firearms and shields while the Internal Affairs Bureau conducts its review.

A heartbreaking case from New York has many people asking questions about safety and responsibility.

The family of a 16-year-old Long Island girl says she was raped in Brooklyn. It all began on March 10, 2026, when a 16-year-old girl from a tight-knit Orthodox Jewish family in Nassau County (Long Island), New York, took an Uber.

The ride was allegedly arranged/ordered via the man she had been communicating with on Snapchat.

The driver dropped her off alone in Bushwick, Brooklyn, without verifying her age or ensuring she was with an adult , which violates Uber’s policies on unaccompanied minors (drivers are supposed to check IDs for riders who appear underage and generally not transport minors alone without a special teen account).

The Assault and Threats

Once in Brooklyn, the girl met 26-year-old Ralfy Figueroa. Police say Figueroa had been pressuring her for weeks. He allegedly threatened her, saying he knew where she lived and would hurt her family if she didn’t meet him.

According to court papers, Figueroa forced the girl into sexual acts in his car, filmed it, and threatened her with guns.

The family says she was so traumatized that she is now getting mental health treatment out of state. Her mother told the court that if the videos ever became public, her daughter said she would kill herself.

Figueroa has been arrested and charged with first-degree rape. He was already in a special program for young offenders after a previous drug arrest.

The family’s lawsuit claims Uber is partly to blame because their driver ignored safety rules for underage riders.

Federal Agents Search Homes and City Hall in Major Corruption Probe

Federal agents carried out dramatic raids on the homes of two high-ranking officials in Lancaster, California, as part of a sweeping investigation into possible corruption linked to a major Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer.

On April 15, FBI agents escorted Lancaster Vice Mayor Marvin Crist and City Councilmember Raj Malhi from their homes at gunpoint. Agents also searched Lancaster City Hall and the home of a Bel-Air developer during the operation.

Sources familiar with the investigation say the probe focuses on whether Crist and Malhi received money or other benefits from BYD, the China-based electric car and bus maker operating America’s largest electric bus factory in Lancaster.

The federal search warrant specifically sought evidence of “anything of value” provided by BYD, directly or indirectly, to elected officials, candidates, or political action committees.

Agents were also looking for information on government actions that the company sought or influenced.

Investigation Covers Several Years of Activity

The probe spans from 2018 to the present and includes a review of financial transactions, political contributions, and government decisions involving BYD.

Agents seized documents, phones, computers, and other electronic devices from the locations searched.

BYD has made significant investments in Lancaster, including the construction of a large electric bus factory that employs more than 750 people. The company supplies electric buses to Lancaster’s public fleet and several other cities in California.

No arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed against the two officials. Neither Crist nor Malhi responded to requests for comment. Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris stated he was unaware of any wrongdoing and described the officials as “honorable.”

40-year-old Calvin Jones is facing serious charges after reportedly stealing a woman’s Porsche and immediately crashing it in disastrous fashion during a heated police chase in Midtown.

Reports show that the victim, a 39-year-old woman, left her 2022 Porsche SUV running on 15th Street and Union Square East. Jones allegedly took advantage of the situation at around 3:00 P.M. on Friday, December 12th. He hopped in the car and took off.

Little did the suspect know that the victim had a car tracking app on her cell phone. When she alerted police to the situation, they quickly located the suspect.

The authorities approached Jones and tried to initiate a traffic stop. Instead of pulling over, Jones attempted to flee. Officers followed the suspect for about two miles. While speeding off, he struck three vehicles: a 2019 Audi Sedan, a 2016 Audi SUV, and a 2024 Cadillac SUV. The high-impact collision caused the Porsche to flip over. The crash occurred around 50th and Lexington in Midtown, Manhattan.

Jones was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. The Cadillac was carrying three people: a 39-year-old woman, a 30-year-old male, and a 56-year-old male. None of these individuals was injured. Fortunately, the other vehicles were empty when they were struck.

Jones is facing multiple charges, including reckless endangerment, grand larceny auto, criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, reckless driving, driving without a license, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Jones has reportedly been arrested twice before, both times on assault charges.

Grand Theft Auto in New York

Grand theft auto charges in New York are taken very seriously. Since grand theft auto is considered larceny, the penalties for a conviction depend on the vehicle’s value and the person’s criminal history.

Brooklyn resident Sanjai Syamaprasad has been ordered to serve a six months sentence behind bars after secretly filming thousands of unsuspecting patients and visitors at a Nassau County Sleep Center.

According to reports, the filming incidents began back in July of 2023 and continued until April of 2024. Sanjai was an employee of the Northwell Health Sleep Disorders Center during the duration of the illegal filming activities.

Court records indicate that Sanjai intentionally concealed cameras inside of smoke detectors and then stuck them inside of bathrooms at the Sleep Disorders Center in Great Neck. He also allegedly put a camera in a public bathroom in the same building that was not a part of the sleep disorder center.

Unfortunately, these cameras would record patients, visitors, and staff members in vulnerable moments, like when they were using the restroom, and many of these videos did expose the private parts of the victims. Sanjai is accused of removing the cameras at the end of his shifts and transferring all the images and videos to an SD card.

Sanjai was reportedly at work and watching one of the videos he took from the bathroom in April of 2024 when another co-worker became suspicious. This unnamed individual could tell the video footage appeared to be from one of the center’s restrooms, so they immediately became disturbed. They reported the incident to management. Soon after, the authorities were alerted and Sanjai was fired.

Nassau County Detectives executed a search warrant on the suspect’s home, where they recovered multiple electronics.

Among the items collected were phones, several laptops, and an SD card reader. Under the pressure of police questioning, Sanjai admitted he also threw a smoke detector camera in a garbage can at a nearby CVS. He also confessed to smashing up a small CD card and tossing it in the same trash.

On July 15, 2025, Sanjai pleaded guilty to five counts of second-degree unlawful surveillance and two counts of tampering with physical evidence.

At first, the judge was only going to sentence the suspect to probation, but impactful witness statements encouraged the judge to sentence Sanjai to jail time.

Unlawful Surveillance in New York

In New York, unlawful surveillance is a felony offense. Typically, a conviction will result in jail time from one to seven years behind bars depending on the specifics of the situation. What’s more, a person convicted of unlawful surveillance will also be required to register as a sex offender. That means their name, address, picture, and charges will need to be listed out on a public sex offender list.

A felony conviction will also result in a loss of specific rights such as the right to possess a firearm, vote, and hold public office.
